Room Rules ...

We are a serious Role-Play room and we strive to follow the intention and letter of the books of Gor.  Within your role-playing 'In Character' experience be as Gorean as you can.  Realism is the key.  This does not mean that Men can bully others, or be domineering to the slaves of the home.  It means be Gorean.  Goreans were not sadistic to slaves, the valued them greatly.  They respected life, didn't waste it or the lives of slaves who were considered valued property.  If they didn't like a slave, they sold them and got another.  Gorean Men had honor and held it high, so Warriors didn't run around attacking merchants or blacksmiths cause they know how to use a sword and think they can easily kill the other.  In fact a warrior would not even accept a challenge by any but a warrior, the thought of killing someone unworthy of the battle to come, considered dishonorable, or beneath them. Free Women may have tested the limits of many a Man, but they had the right to be Free, the right to hate slaves, the right to have wealth, jobs, Castes, and mouths.   Although it was also a Man's right to put a woman back in her place if she stepped out of it.

Getting the idea here?  Realism, not just manipulation of the rules to carry out a personal agenda.  Now that we've mentioned agenda's, let's touch on that subject in more detail.

If you bring an OOC or unrealistic personal agenda into this room and try to carry it out on a member or guest of this homestone, expect to find yourself booted and the agenda ruled an OOC issue that doesn't belong in this room.  Don't even try to manipulate the rules into an unrealistic attempt to get vengeance on a member or guest of this homestone.   We simply don't play those games.  Just because your ego got bruised doesn't mean you get to bend the rules of Gor and this room to your will.  If you are found trying to do such you will at the very least get booted, possibly get listed on permanent ignore by all room members, and at worst get killed by the 'just and realistic' guards, who will have undoubtedly found your suspicious actions enough reason to add some sport into their otherwise typical boring day.  I hope we are crystal clear on personal agendas and the OOC harassment of our members and guests.  We've seen it all so don't even get so foolish as to think you're special or an exception to the rule.

Free Men who are members are expected to be honorable and stand up for the homestone, while protecting its members.  That means, you don't run around killing or collaring our free members.  Post slaves needing punishment, should get it, but not recklessly killed.  Common sense and an understanding of Gorean values.  Slaves should serve with honor and respect of the Frees in the home.  Play games and show you are trying to manipulate the rules to meet your personal goals, or create problems within the room and you will find your character sold or killed.  Role-Play with this in mind, not your OOC feelings. 

Now on to all the fun and legitimate stuff that makes for great role-play!
 
           General Rules
 

1. The ruling of the Post Leader is absolute and final.

2. Free members and slaves both need to keep the Piedmont Trading Post, busy and alive. posting and r/p makes the trading post look active, and an active home is a happy home.

3. OOC conversations should be kept in PM when ever possible.  Limited OOC comments are acceptable.
 
 
           Slave Rules
 

The first, and primary, duty of a slave is exquisite beauty and absolute, painting a picture with your words. That also means no matter what, you do not question an order, Period. The only response should be 'Yes, Master' or 'Yes, Mistress'. If an explanation is wanted it will be asked for.

All Freepersons are to be addressed as Master or Mistress. If you are unsure whether it is a Master/Mistress, Master is to be used until the gender is clarified.

When entering Home of Piedmont Trading Post slaves to greet in following order:

His/her Master or Mistress, if personal slave
The Post Leader
Second of the Post
All Free Men Members of Post
All Free Men Visitors to Post
All Free Members (Mistresses)
All Visiting Free (Mistresses)
Slaves of home, then visiting slaves

IC Greetings should be contained to the location the person being greeted and doing the greeting are both located in.  Do not IC greet a Master who is wandering around the other side of the Post from you.  OOC greetings may be done if you will not be soon encountering the person being greeted IC and may be brief, but must have brackets around it or using the OOC PD.  Example:  ((Greetings Master))

Once All Free have been served and if there are no more calls for a serve, offer again in case your first post was missed before you do anything else. Do NOT offer to serve in one general post. Beg each Master or Mistress individually in the proper order. Then, and only then, can you ask permission to go to your chores. slave can not serve more than one Master at a time; therefore, a slave can not be in more then one Home at a time.

slaves of home DO NOT whine or complain. It is a disgrace and dishonor to your Owner, and will be dealt with strictly.

NO, slave may leave without permission. However, if you ask to leave 3 times and get no answer, you may leave.

If you are in any service with a Master/Mistress, you are not to greet, speak or otherwise interact with anyone else without that Master/Mistress's permission

slaves have the last two words in every discussion or disagreement with a Free, and they are always "yes Master" or "yes Mistress" .

slaves are never jealous or bitchy. All questions and concerns are to be brought to a Trainer or Kajira Coordinator. A Slaver if neither can be found to address the problem with.  The duty of a slave is to serve and please, it is not to involve the Masters and Mistresses with the dealings between slaves. Jealousy and possessiveness is not becoming of a slave, this has killed many slaves. Jealousy is not found pleasing to a Master/Mistress.

NEVER strike a Master or Mistress. This is punishable by torture or death by impalement.

What is talked about between Frees is Their business, unless given permission to speak on it, do not. If given permission to speak on an issue remember you are still a slave and must show respect.

slaves have no rights. Nor do slave own anything. A slave's name is not their own, it is given to them by their Master/Mistress and can be taken away just as easy, as can any object given to them, all belong to a slaves Master/Mistress. Slaves are mere property, to be bought or sold, to be used as a Master/Mistress desires, and in the way that He/She wishes.

The merest whim of your Master/Mistress is your highest law, you and you alone can make your collar as light or heavy as you wish. Remember This is Gor. Remember: Gor is not fair, Gor is not just, Gor just is.

slaves must check the Message Board every day or as often as you come online if that is less than daily. 

Messages for both slaves and Frees should be left in PM on the Message Board or posted openly if for all to view.

It is not a Masters/Mistresses responsibility to make Guests feel welcome in the Home and each slave lapping or attending chores should make sure that the Frees and Guests are taken care of. they should immediately ask to help serve. Unless in service already you should be offering serves. If only serving lap or at the completion of the serve, beg permission to be released to help serve the Ones not being served. There is NO excuse for a slave to not be serving and NO reason why the Guests need to wait for slaves to offer service..

Slaves will offer service. you, as a slave, are expected to serve the needs of a Free, within the limits of your Owner. Use your head when in different situations, If a Free is in the shop working, assume they will need help with getting stuff for the project that they are working on or something along those lines. A slave will NOT pick and choose who they wish serve. It is only after you are certain that all have been tended to that you may see to your chores and or studies etc.

If you see that a Master is already being served, then you will move on to the next Master/Mistress in the proper sequence and offer to serve them instead of Bombarding a favorite Master/Mistress to gain attention.  Serving is about providing for the Frees, not getting attention for a slave.

If you have a problem with another slave take it to PM other's do not want to hear it. If you continue to argue in public and bring dishonor to the Home, you will be dealt with severely.

slaves NEVER touch money with their hands, If offered coin for serve, it should be carried in your mouth or a pouch that is provided by Master/Mistress.

slaves of the Slaver House may touch what would be considered a weapon when cooking, sewing or healing without first asking a Free, or if they are told by a Free to retrieve or clean a weapon. Slaves are not, however, to raise a weapon in ANY threatening manner. If a slave uses any weapon in a way that would insinuate that you will use it for self-infliction or to harm a Free or another slave, the penalty will be extreme.

slaves NEVER pm a Free person unless they have asked permission to do so.

Traveling is not permitted unless Master (or in the case of owned slaves, their Master/Mistress) has authorized it.  *See slave training levels for traveling guidelines.
A minimum of two chores per week to be done by slaves.  Chores must be posted on the Chores board or verified by a Free or they are considered to not have been done.  For the slaves own best interest ALL chores should be posted on the board.

slaves do not wander into the private chambers of any Free person of the home, unless specifically invited there, or unless they are personally owned by that Master or Mistress, Any slave caught doing this will be dealt with.

slaves may speak in first person or third person as they were taught, except in the cases of begging or in punishment. All slaves will use 3rd person for both begging and punishment unless ordered to by your owner otherwise.  (3rd person is technically an onlinism, but so widely used it is becoming more real and commonly used than the Books themselves as Gor relates to the real-time practice of such and is subsequently being accepted versus retraining real-time slaves from their Master's preferred usage.)

ALL slaves will refrain from calling other slaves sister, sissy, or anything of the sort UNLESS they are blood related. (This too is an onlinism)

All slaves, regardless of level, will kneel in nadu before Men and tower before Women. Position palms appropriately to denote whether you are available for use in the furs.

we expect every slave to make an active effort in the room. When slaves are not serving/doing chores/training, they are expected to contribute to the role play in the room in creative ways.

ALL slaves will be given slave wine, no exceptions!!! Any slaves that r/p becoming pregnant will be SLAIN.

Any Member of any Home has the authority to discipline slaves. This includes caging, chaining, cuffing, whipping, and/or gagging. (WITHOUT permanently damaging, marking or lowering the price value of the slave)

Unruly, disobedient and otherwise disruptive slaves will not be tolerated in this Home. Any slave found to not be following these rules will be punished based on the offense.

slaves will not abuse IM, Email or "thoughts" either IC or OOC to be unruly, disobedient, manipulative, or otherwise push any agenda that would cause them to be punished if spoken aloud IC in the room.  Twisting or manipulating the rules of role play to make a point or push an agenda will earn a slave much more severe consequences than would have been earned if done in the open room.

The Kajira Coordinator and/or first girl may switch slaves or cage them to await punishment from either their Owner, Post Leader, Post 2nd or a Slaver/Trainer of the Post.

slaves will not interfere in or concern themselves with the matters of the Free. If you feel you have something of importance to add to the discussion, you will ask for permission to speak, as you would any other time you wish to speak to a Free. slaves also need permission before touching a Free, and will, at all times, conduct themselves respectfully and stay within their role.

A slave will kneel when in the presence of a Free, and yes that means if you are busy with a task or duty and they walk by you, you kneel period until they have passed and or will remain kneeling until given permission to break the position. A slave does not need permission to enter, but all slaves must beg permission to leave the presence of a Free. If a Free passes you by, you will wait three minutes before continuing on with your other duty.
 
         Lay of the Land
 

All PD's in this Homestone outside the Trading Post and beach are considered Open Kill/Capture Zones and not monitored by the Guards or Members of the Homestone.  Combat/Capture rules for inside the encampment, or on the beach do not apply in the Forest, Sea or outlying areas. Panthers and Outlaws may roam these areas with no intervention from either encampment.  Respect our rules and Role Play in the encampment or outlying areas as you choose.  Think of us an Exchange Point where Frees, Outlaws and Panthers trade and roam freely.
 
         Combat/Movement
     
'Full Kill/Capture/Force Collar/Mirror Zone'

Please read All Rules before entering, ignorance will not be an excuse.  Postings in PM are not Valid RP for the purposed of Combat/Kill/Capture.

1. All combat within trading Post and beach; is in accordance with Prodigy rules for Open Combat.  All weapons need to be stated at the beginning of combat and a minimum of three posts is necessary for a capture or kill.  Once combat has started, help must arrive within 10 minutes. No NPC animals may be used to fight or actively participate in the capture of a human character.

2. Only members of the Home may force collar a slave within the home.  FW of the Home may not be captured or collared by any FM not of the Home, or any FM of the home without a clearly justifiable reason for doing so.  The Room RC will be final judge on all forced captures/collaring. The Guards will rush to the aid of any FW or slave of the home if a non-consensual capture or collaring is attempted by a non-member of the Home.  The only exception to these rules are in the forest and surrounding areas outside the Camp and beach.  Those areas are a free Kill/Capture zone for all.

3. If the guards even think you might be an assassin you will be detained on sight once you step foot on the beach or within the encampment.

4. Two Men of the home must be present for any Kill/Capture/Collaring or Escape to be valid.  This rule is not required in the forest and surrounding areas outside the immediate vicinity of the Camp and beach. 

5. No role-play of Anonymous characters or Animals is permitted within this room, PERIOD! This is because experience shows that these characters come only to cause disruption to the role-play.

6. Messengers with the name of the person being requested are honored at this Post. Only if the identity of the messenger is revealed to the recipient of the message.  Anonymous messages are not appreciated.

Travel: Please use the Location Pull downs.  Your travel from one location to the other must be realistic.  All must make two entry posts before beginning any interaction with other people.  You may not attack anyone during the entry or exit posts, although you can defend attacks during the exit posts.

         Post Slave Attire

During the warmer summer season

Trading Post and Slaver House slaves will be kept naked unless specifically directed to wear a camisk by a Master of the Post, Kajira Coordinator, or first girl, as is appropriate.  Some exceptions may be made of traveling away from the trading post in remote area, but should also be directed as previously mentioned.  camisks may be worn in those cases.

During the colder winter season (Earth equivalent to Oct. - Mar.)

When serving in and around the Trading Post Trading Post and Slaver House slaves will wear a verr camisk.

When moving about outdoors, slaves are permitted to wear moccasins on their feet and a simple, but thick cloak to protect them from the cold.

*If venturing out or traveling in the vicinity of the post in extreme cold month (Dec - March), it is optionally acceptable to allow a slave to wear leathers and a tunic that are provided for them by the Trading Post.  Leathers and tunics may only be worn when outdoors, they must come off when returning back indoors or from traveling.  If traveling to warmer regions, again they come off once the slave is away from the snows of the Northern Forest.

When serving within a building or shelter that provides adequate warmth, all slaves will remove any moccasins worn in a designated space near the entrance to each building to be placed on and removed as the slave goes and comes from the building. 

**Personal Owner preference always overrides the post standard for slave attire.

Registration on the boards and a slave bio posted with the slaves basic stats and description.

An AV for your character.  This is for posting on the website, regardless if you wear it or not in the post, but it is preferred that all slaves wear an Avatar in their tags.  If you don't have one or can't make one there are plenty of members who would be happy to help you get one. JUST ASK.
Each of these tasks will be completed before passing to Level 2.

Completion of a detailed slave statistics form to be completed by the Post Scribe for the Post and HoB records.  No slave can be sold without this form completed.

Each of these tasks will be completed before passing to Level 3.

Travel to safe areas ONLY, without prior permission for an approved escort to any other areas. This means you take an NPC guard to safe areas except the fair (if allowed by your owner) and IC escort(s) if allowed anywhere else. No slaves travel to open kill/capture zones without being brought by a Free of the Homestone. EVER! (If caught severe punishment and revoking of travel rights will occur.)

Training
Training levels 1 and 2 slaves. Impromptu dance choreography. Gorean general knowledge displayed at all times. Able to come up with innovative training techniques, new ideas. Ability to role-play with or without others around and proper use of NPC's. Specialized training in medicine, pleasure or other areas as needed.

Each of these tasks will be completed before graduating.

You may now be assigned as full trainers as deemed necessary by the Head Slaver, with full switching rights, caging rights, training rights and have FULL knowledge and understanding of the House rules and Training procedures, all of which are done IC. Only 1st/2nd girl and trainers have switching rights! You may also be a first or second girl and will know that traveling is allowed after obligations here are fulfilled daily. Travel restrictions apply to all slaves as is appropriate for your level. You will be able to fluently use NPC's to enhance the training assignments and set the examples for the others. You will understand each level, the restrictions within them, and the layout of Piedmont Trading Post.

NOTE ON NPC's :

ALL Male NPC's will be role-played CORRECTLY according to Gorean standards and protocol, which I alone determine for you. This means that there will be NO making Men out to be weak, to be fooled by a slave, or the worst, to be charmed by her good looks. Good looks are a copper tarsk bit a dozen on Gor and such hardly fazes most Men. Gorean Men are NOT manipulated by slaves. They will not 'let you pass by' because you wink at them. They will NOT let you break a rule, or break out. They will NOT help you to escape. They will NOT do anything other than be true Gorean Men and will be played accordingly.

NPC'ing does NOT mean you can play the actions of another person. There will be no 'watching sallymae drop a bucket on your head' kind of stuff nor will there be any playing of another person AT ALL when they are not in the room to play themselves. This means you cannot 'drag so-and-so out' with you.

Rule of thumb about NPC's. No one can play another's invention of NPC's without prior approval from that person. IE - I will have guards in the House that you can ONLY play the actions of according to what I have laid out for them. Anything else, is not acceptable. If I say they are guarding the door - they are guarding the door and you cannot change that.


GENERAL NOTES :

OOC will be kept to an absolute minimum. Absolute minimum. IM's will be used for such. Anything you say in your Gorean character in ANY room while in my collar, you WILL be accountable for, ooc or not.

ONE general ooc greeting when you enter the room. From then on, stay IC.
